Privacy Policy
How VERITY handles the minimum personal data needed to run the service. Effective 2026-08-20.
What we collect
Member account: email address, nickname and password (password stored only as a salted hash). [Optional] Telegram account ID and language setting, collected only if you choose to link Telegram for channel notifications. You can use every feature on the web without linking. Order details: product, payment method, transaction identifier. Account and Web Reader session identifiers, stored only as hashes. [At purchase] Mobile-carrier identity verification (NHN KCP): only a hash of the linking key (DI) and an adult flag (19 and over) are stored. Your name, date of birth, resident ID and mobile number are handled in the verification window and are not stored on our servers. Service access logs kept for security. [Optional] Google account identifier and email address, collected only if you use Google sign-in. If another sign-in method is added later, this policy is updated before it goes live. We do not store resident ID or card numbers (identity checks are handled by the verification provider and card payments by the payment provider).
Why we use it
To activate and maintain your subscription, confirm payments, answer support inquiries, and prevent fraud or abuse.
How long we keep it
Records of contracts and payments are kept for the periods required by e-commerce law, then destroyed. Other data is deleted when it is no longer needed. Procedure: once the purpose is achieved or the retention period ends, the data is separated from live use and destroyed without delay, except where another law requires it to be kept longer. Method: electronic files are erased in a way that cannot be recovered, and anything printed on paper is shredded or incinerated.

We do not sell or share your data with third parties, except when required by law.

Processing entrusted to others and overseas transfer
We entrust part of the processing to the providers below, and because their infrastructure is outside Korea this also constitutes an overseas transfer. Transfers happen over an encrypted network at the moment each service is used, and the data is kept for the retention period stated in this policy. · Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) - running the service and storing data (account, order, session and content data). Region: Western North America. · Resend, Inc. (United States) - sending verification, password reset and sign-in code emails (email address only). · Telegram - channel and bot delivery, only if you link Telegram (Telegram account ID only). · Google LLC (United States) - Google sign-in, only if you use it (email address and Google account identifier). You may refuse the overseas transfer by not signing up or by deleting your account; in that case the service cannot be provided, because the service itself runs on that infrastructure.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and browser storage only to keep you signed in and to remember your choices. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers. · Sign-in and session: vacct, vreader, vin (HttpOnly where they carry a session token, so page scripts cannot read them) · Short-lived sign-in steps: vsoc, vsoct, vch (10-15 minutes) · Preferences: vth (light/dark theme), vref (referral source) You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you refuse the session cookies you cannot stay signed in.
