Verification Process
How VERITY selects, cross-checks and publishes information. The same rules apply to every item.
Source screening
We collect only from official bodies and openly licensed public sources. Terms of use are checked source by source before registration, and sources that do not permit reuse are excluded.
Cross-checking
Official announcements rely on the issuing body’s own published record. Other claims must match across at least three independent sources. What cannot be confirmed is discarded.
AI summaries, labelled
Facts that pass are rewritten in our own words by AI and provided in four languages, always with source attribution. Original articles are never reproduced.
Pre-publication review
Every item passes an automated gate before it goes out: no reproduction of source text, no definitive claims about unproven allegations, and no investment solicitation, gambling, adult or otherwise unlawful content.
Image licensing
Photos appear only when the individual file’s licence permits it (public domain or Creative Commons), always with credit. Otherwise we generate our own information card.
Verified track and free track
The “Verified” mark appears only on items that meet the cross-checking standard above. Entertainment and odd stories are a separate free track: a single outlet is allowed there, so those items never carry the verified mark.
